Two different technologies are available for VOC abatement systems. Cryogenic abatement uses liquid nitrogen (-196°C/-320°F) as a cooling agent in a specific heat exchanger through which gaseous effluents pass. Chemical solvents are condensed and the purified gas is released. Solvents are then easily recovered to be reused or stored in a safe area.
Specific features
In the broad portfolio of existing technologies for VOC emission control, cryo-trapping is specifically adapted for high VOC concentration and gas streams below 2000 Nm³/h.
