SOXAL’s customers can be assured of a sustainable, economical, and uninterrupted mode of supply. This quality service pledge is backed up with SOXAL’s long and successful track record of service and pipeline supplies to large volume industrial gas users in the chemical and petrochemical industries.
In line with the Singapore government's effort of making Jurong Island the ’chemical hub’ of Singapore, we have also invested substantially on gas production plants and facilities on the island.
In 1977, SOXAL became the first industrial gas company in the region to own and operate an integrated pipeline network through an onsite production plan.
Today, SOXAL operates more than 80 kilometres of oxygen and nitrogen pipelines in Jurong – all linked to five air separation plants located at Jalan Buroh and Jurong Island. This pipeline network serves various industries at Jurong Island and the Jurong area stretching up to the end of Tuas. All of SOXAL's pipeline gases are supplied with the highest quality from production source to point of usage. Continuous review is being made to ensure that the gases conform strictly to specifications and are also supplied well within safety limits.
Multiple Backup Systems Assure Continuous Supply
Reliability of a continuous supply is assured with multiple layers of backup systems such as liquid storage tanks and standby plants. In case of a stoppage in the pipeline system, supplies will automatically switch over to a liquid gas backup source.
SOXAL provides the largest liquid storage backup in Singapore with a total capacity of more than eight million litres for liquid nitrogen, oxygen, and argon.
Besides industrial oxygen and nitrogen, SOXAL also operates pipelines for the following gases that are linked to SOXAL's plants or remotely controlled on-site plants.
