Applications [ Return towards Marine]

Brazing

They are used for heat exchangers in air conditioning, taps, sanitary equipment and compressor parts.

Heat Shrinking

This process allows rectification of the distortions on the thermally affected zone during the welding cycle. It involves heating a flame very quickly or over a narrow area of a sheet or welded set of pieces. This shrinking process, particularly used in the shipyards, can be used on carbon or stainless steels. Gases that are used for the heating flame are oxygen and acetylene.

Flame Cutting

Flame applications for cutting process use an oxy-fuel flame and straight oxygen as a cutting jet to separate the metal. This process is used on carbon steels and sometimes on stainless steels with iron powder (heavy thicknesses of over 60mm). It is either manual or automatic and is widely used due to its high flexibility and excellent cut properties. This process is mainly used in metal fabrication, shipyards, boilers, scrapping, etc.

Laser Cutting

Laser cutting, which is mainly used on thin metals requiring high precision and productivity and on materials such as wood, fabric and PE plastics, is performed by a focused beam and a cutting jet that ejects molten metal.

Flame Welding

Flame welding is performed with a welding torch and exclusively with an oxy-acetylene or oxy-crylen (available in some countries) flame. It is a process largely used on working sites or repair shops. Easy to settle, this process can be used for numerous materials and has the following advantages - a) It shows a highly flexible use and b) It provides autonomy as installation is free from any external energy source.
